Policy, Advocacy and Voice
Focus areas
DLCI is a convenor and process facilitator that considers the voices of the dryland’s communities, and advocates for the inclusion of minorities and other vulnerable groups such as pastoralists, women, and youth.
DLCI is particularly keen to translate its extensive knowledge of good practices in dryland areas into materials that are of interest to remote dryland communities. DLCI has carried out a range of reviews of emerging communication mechanisms in remote areas and is well positioned to promote dryland voice into policy and planning processes at county and national levels and civic education.
